On one level, I only have one thing to say about this set of books: "No matter who you are or what your path is in magic, you need to own these books." And I truly believe that. If you don't have them, I suspect you're either a cheap-ass or missing more than a few brain cells.
Speaking of cheap-asses, let me start with the price. I heard some grumbling about the price at MAGIC Live! Are you kidding me? This is the life's work of one of the most creative minds of our time. Even if you're a salaried employee, I suspect you know how much you make an hour. Hell, let's assume you're only working for $10/hr. That's two days of full-time work! We're talking decades of a man's life! And that's not even counting the hundreds of hours (and I'm sure lots of money) that Gaetan, Kevin and Todd put into producing these books. Don't be stupid.
These are, without question, two of the most important books on my shelf… and I have a lot of great books. We're talking 736 pages of some of the most creative, yet workable, ideas in magic. I don't care what you're into: close-up, stage, manipulation, comedy, mentalism. There's something here for everyone.
Sure, you may not do everything exactly as printed. But the ideas are priceless. I have never come across anyone who thinks like Gaetan Bloom. He's one-of-a-kind and we are fortunate to be living at the same time as him.
Of course, the books were produced by The Miracle Factory, so the quality is excellent. In addition to all of the great magic, you'll find plenty of amusing, and insightful, stories and history.
I'm going to stop now. If you're smart, you'll buy these books. If not, I'm done wasting my time with you and am going to start reading the books again (this will be my fourth time).
