“Jerome Finley is a controversial performer who isn’t afraid to cross the line separating Performer from Shaman, a line I’ve treaded vicariously off-and-on myself for most of my life. In fact, as far as I can tell he isn’t aware such a line even exists. I’ve taken great enjoyment in watching the New Generation running amok with the craft, and Jerome is running with the top mad dogs. Jerome eschews the tricks of the trade for the Real Work, which in Mentalism can take you into somewhat esoteric practices. We’re not talking billet switches here; we’re actually getting into the thoughts and minds of people. In this book you’ll learn how to do it.”

- John Riggs, from the Introduction to ‘Guerrilla Q&A’

“Jerome is a master. It is as simple as that.

His latest work displays a breadth of knowledge and experience that many people spend a lifetime acquiring. Seeing Jerome perform this material, as I have on several occasions in front of both real people and other mentalists is a master class in a performer really ‘being’ onstage. Jerome makes his material fit him perfectly.

The object lesson to learn from Jerome is not only in his excellent construction, scripting and devilish adaptations of classical methods but in his ability to stand in front of a room full of people and be ‘him’ and in the process his performances touch you, on a personal level. His material brings you into his universe and it’s a very nice place to be.

This is work that should not only be studied as a serious student of our art form but cherished as a document of a performer baring his soul. Enjoy the journey.”

- Luke Jermay

“In ‘Guerrilla Q&A’ Jerome has left no uncharted territory for the reader to explore. You will be guided through the intricacies and the subtleties of this act by the accurate maps Jerome has expertly charted for you.

Everything I could think of is here.

Anyone who was ever interested in Q&A, even people who may have shied away from it in the past due to their lack of confidence, will now have a complete and thorough dissertation on this fine aspect of our art.

I can say this is really the ULTIMATE and the BEST treatise on the theory & practice of a Q&A act.

Jerome is a gifted writer and this latest effort and contribution from him is no exception. This is pure gold. Well written, full of tips and ideas and is destined to become a new classic in our field.”

- Paolo Cavalli

“The most important thing to know about Jerome is that he instructs with care and precision. I personally think that each of his manuscripts have gotten better. I also believe that Jerome is most in “his zone” when it comes to doing readings. He has endless touches on this subject (as we have talked at great length on this sujet), and after having read his ?Guerrilla Q&A?, it doesn’t surprise me that this is his best full body of work as of yet.

Doing readings in a caring, sincere, and genuinely uncontrived way is something I think Jerome does better than anyone I’ve ever seen, including a few shut-eye practitioners who I’ve always thought of as great, and the techniques that he will teach you in this manuscript are so deep into the subject matter that, even if you’ve thought about how an impromptu Q&A could be done before, you will be impressed with how well he is able to put it all together into a beautiful finished product. If readings are of specific interest to you, then you will find my friend Jerome Finley’s Guerilla Q&A to be a treasure trove of inspiration!

My prediction.”

- Alain Nu

Well . . . to sum it up: I like it a lot!

At the end of the KEN System, (the second half of Palm Readers Notebook), I felt I had taken the idea of systematic reading methods as far as I could imagine them at the time and said that I’d be most interested in hearing what the next possible step could be. At the time I couldn’t even imagine the direction that could take.

I think that Guerrilla Q & A comes the closest to anything I’ve seen in the intervening decade and a half to being that very step I was hoping for!

I see your extensive manuscript as a recipe, in some ways. Many of the ingredients are known components. Then again, some of them are new to me and are devilishly brilliant touches; elements that clearly take the Q and A evolution another major step forward.

When you put the two together and add your insightful routining, there is a synergy that becomes the closest presentation to a ‘perfect’ Q and A that doesn’t require assistants, a lot of pre-show skulduggery nor a briefcase filled with the usual secret equipment.

I’ve known of ‘no gimmick’ approaches before, but have not been quite convinced that I could pull them off in a way that satisfied me enough to actually do them. They didn’t sound procedurally logical enough, or the Answers part of the equation sounded a bit lame. Or the odd procedures or gimmicks were worrisome serious potential exposure points if not carefully orchestrated.

After I sat and read Guerrilla Q & A, (nonstop!), my brain went into a delirious warp drive and wouldn’t allow me to sleep for many hours as it began internally re-writing everything I thought I knew about Q & A. It would be only a slight exaggeration to say that it left me breathless . . .

I am now actually seriously considering how and where I can present a strong Q&A -something had I have never been fully convinced about until I read this!

How many times I’ve fantasized about being able to just walk into a room where people are gathered and confidently present an effective Q & A routine . . .

. . . and now I think I can actually do it!

I recommend this book to anyone who is really serious about learning to do the same.

(And, *** it, you’ve converted about 80% of my often expensive gimmicks into unnecessary lumps on my shelves. . . )

I heartily congratulate you on your work, here, Jerome!

My own line is: “May your consciousness increase!” In this case, you’ve increased mine. I thank you for that.

Honte !
